FAQ: Judging method of rail pressure sensor
ERIKC Answer: The rail pressure sensor (CRPS) is a piezoresistive type and has three terminals. CRPS terminals 1# are ground wires, 2# terminals are signal lines, and 3# terminals are power lines (5V).
The resistance between the two terminals of the three terminals of the sensor can be measured with the resistance of the multimeter to determine whether the sensor is good or bad.

Fuel flows through a small hole in the common rail to the common rail pressure sensor. The pressurized fuel reaches the sensor diaphragm through a blind hole. A sensor component (semiconductor device) that converts the pressure signal into an electric signal is mounted on the diaphragm, and the signal generated by the sensor is input into a detection circuit for amplifying the picked-up signal and feeding it to the ECU.
