FAQ: Can you really repair my injectors by cleaning them?
ERIKC Answer:Yes. Almost all injector related problems occur slowly over time, from debris and contamination. They get dirty. Would any of us throw away our jeans because they are dirty? No, we would clean them.
FAQ: I have had my injectors cleaned on the car, they seemed OK for a short time. Now they have failed again.
ERIKC Answer:This is a very common occurrence with on car methods. They usually use a very caustic cleaner forced thru the fuel system. It Does remove some debris, but deposits some at the injector pintle (tip). We believe once those deposits harden, the performance is again decreased. Usually more severe.
FAQ: I have 2 injectors that I know are bad and they are easy to remove. Can I have just those 2 serviced by erikc ?
ERIKC Answer: No. It is our policy to service injectors in sets only. The reason, if one or more injectors have failed the others is not far Behind. It is also very common for this practice to create a new problem, when you service only a percentage of the injectors they will flow at different rates. The electronic control module (ECM) adjusts for the average of the set.
