ERIKC Answer:Fuel additives do a good job of cleaning carbon deposits from both the inside of your engine and the valves but in reality do little for fuel injectors (except in very serious cases). ERIKC Answer:The older fat body style low impedance injectors (1.5 to 4.0 Ohm) used to have faster open and close times due to the type of electrical signal pattern emitted by an ECU equipped with proper P&H signal transmitters. This "Peak and Hold" Injector typically uses a high (4 amp) initial current to open the injector, and which reduces to a lower (1 amp) current to keep the injector open until the pulse ends.
